NO MORE VENT!!!!

I just got a phone call from our lovely nurse Bernadette informing us that they FINALLY FINALLY took Ezekiel off the ventilator! :) :) :) :) : ) :) :) : )

YAY YAY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!

Sigh.

Now we can start doing things like holding our baby. That's never something I thought I would have to wait for. I'm so excited.

Meanwhile, said broken hot water heater was easily fixed by kind repair man.... who pushed a GIANT RED RESTART BUTTON. Oh dear. 6 hot-waterless days for nothing. How silly. Durring our hot water fast, I fancied that we were learning how to "rough it" by taking cold showers and boiling water to wash dishes. It was *almost* fun. But not quite. The end of the story is that I really really appreciate hot water. In fact, I am headed to the shower right now.

After I order checks. Because I am completely out.

That's wonderful!!!!

Now, on to the hot water heater.

LMBO for a couple of minutes, so did Dad. And I still have a headache and am weak from being in the hospital! But it was a really good laugh. :-)

Love you all,
Teresa

Congratulations! Awwww, I bet you got to hold him today then. How precious. Thanks again for calling today, it was great to talk to you. I got my pizza afterall! (after my nap). lol. I was hoping to hang out with the family by offering them pizza, but they didn't bite for my offer. I'm weird like that. Then when Josh called me tonight and asked "how are you?" I started bawling like a baby because I missed him so much. He was sweet to me. He'll be home tomorrow; at least it was only 2 days....I know you've had to go much longer away from Daniel and I can't imagine. Ok, I'll talk to ya soon! I love you!

I'm soooooo excited for you guys-way to go Ezie!!!! Even after doing this all these years, I still get tears in my eyes when I help mom's hold for the first time (or for the first time in a long time!). Just thinking of you getting to hold again does that to me too :) We'll keep praying for a smooth ride-right outta there.

And-the water heater?-That's pretty funny....We did it with our garbage disposal-only not as much of a daily usage with that as hot water-enjoy your shower!!

Ezie!!!!! Hooray!!!!! We will continue to pray that you STAY OFF the vent....forever!!! What good news! Keep growing, little man!

Love, Grandma Luanne

P.S. to your mommy: Your water heater story made me smile big time....I did something similar when you were a tiny, tiny girl. Sorry for your week of cold showers, though. (did it remind you of early Camp Sychar days?).

We are so so gald for Ezekiel. He is getting lots of prayer and thoughts from so many people. Isaiah always remembers "Zekel" in his naptime prayer. And Daniel and Kristin too. Love, Aimee
