17 weeks

Today our little baby is a full 17 weeks old. Yay baby! So this next week we will be working on 18 weeks. I feel like I get a little bit bigger every single day....

I am in Ohio now, I've been here since Sunday. It's nice to see my family, although I do miss being in Kentucky, I just love it there. It's so beautiful. :)
This picture is from 2 weeks ago or so, but I still wanted to post it up here. (Teresa I totally stole this picture from your blog.... )

This is when we (L2R Martina, me, Teresa) went to the Lexington Whole Foods to give out samples of Pike Valley Farm organic pastured chicken. This isn't just any random farm-- it's our family farm! It rocks. I will be doing a sampling this week at the Columbus Whole Foods, but I am a little nervous because I will be by myself. I will let you all know how it goes. :)

16 weeks

Yay little baby! He is getting so big, I really do need a new belly picture to put up here. My mother-in-law Teresa came out to breakfast a few days ago and said, "I had a dream last night your baby's name was -------!" To my surprise..... SHE WAS RIGHT!! Isn't that amazing??! I was shocked! It's not a usual name. It was God telling her. I think that was just so cool.

I am missing Daniel a lot. I've talked to him a few times and gotten a few e-mails. 3-and-a-half more weeks...

15 weeks

Today is 15 weeks for little -------.  I can't wait until he is here!  Next week he will start to hear and I am so excited to sing to him and to have all the family talk to him.  It's too bad he can't hear his daddy's voice!  Maybe the next time Daniel calls i will hold the phone to my belly.  :)

I am having a good visit with family, although I've had a rough couple of days.  I don't usually get sick, but I think because of that 24 hour throw-up bug thing my immune system was weakened and now I have a horrible head cold/flu that my mom-in-law shared with me.  I'm pretty miserable-- I don't get sick very often so I feel like a total wimp taking all sorts of naps and moping around like a zombie.  Hopefully today will be the worst and I will feel a bit better tomorrow.

On mother's day we had a nice dinner (at a restaurant that serves our chicken!) and on the way home Daniel called!  I was so glad he called while we were in town because out in the sticks where his family lives our cell phone doesn't work.  I got to talk to him for a good 20 minutes (with a good connection which was nice) and he is doing great.  I am so proud of him.  He is just so smart.  He is having a great time which makes me happier in his absence.

Yesterday Daniel's brother Josh took me around the perimeters of the farm-- it is soo much bigger than I realized.  There is just so much land!  it's so beautiful here.  I will have to ask Teresa (this is her computer) if I can upload some of her pics for you all to see.  Daniel and I want to build our cabin-house on a spot we call raspberry hill.  It's right at the top of a big big hill with open fields to one side and a nice grove of trees to the other.  And there are wild raspberry bushes there.  It has an awesome view.  But, there are lots of really good spots, so we will see....

I am eating really yummy soup right now that's super easy.  Teresa my m-i-l got me hooked on it.  All it is is V8 juice with macaroni noodles.  This time I added left over chicken and parmesian cheese.  I wish I could share it with you all.  it is so fast and easy to make-- good sick food.

Anyway I had better get going!!

In Kentucky

I am "home" now visiting family in Kentucky.  My flight was good (and pretty short) but yesterday I spent all day being really sick.  I must have had some sort of 24 hour bug because today I feel much better (I don't think it was pregnancy related).

I would love to put some pictures up but I'm not on my computer and I don't really know how to use this one.  But you can look here to see pictures of our families farm!

We are getting ready to go out to dinner for Mother's day with the whole family.  There will be 11 of us!  How fun!

Daniel is doing well in Peru.  I've only heard from him on the phone once but I've gotten a few e-mails.

Sorry no baby pictures but my midwives ultrasound machine was old and doesn't print pictures!  The baby is doing well, though!  I got to see him kicking his little arms and legs around.  He was so precious!!

Ok well I had better be going!!

Goats!

Here is a picture of our dear babies Pepper and Coconut staying at Morning Star Ranch. We are boarding them there while we are out of town. It really is a great place-- there are a TON of beautiful animals and the people who run the place are really nice Christian people. When we were there they prayed for us! How sweet! Anyway, the girl in the picture is holding their pygmy goat, Blueberry. Blueberry will hopefully breed with our girls so that we can have baby pygmy goats and raw milk, but apparently the girls don't like him and keep trying to beat him up. He is about half their size. Hopefully things will get better and they will learn to get along cause I really want some baby pygmies!! Here is another baby pygmy clip! You know you want a goat!!! Ok here is one more --I can't resist. I don't know why this goat is in what appears to be an office.

ANY WAY I had better go finnish my baby blanket that I started for my neighbor a LOOONGG time ago.... I want to finnish it before i leave to go home on friday. I will put a picture up when it's done. :O) GOODNIGHT!

14 weeks

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant! Yay little baby! I love him so much, and I love his name-- I wish we were telling people. But since Daniel's not here I can't convince him that we should. I have been feeling the baby move, and that is just sooo fun and exciting. On Thursday I have another midwife appointment and I will have an ultrasound. I'm excited to take the baby picture up to KY and OH with me to show everyone! I will post it here, too, of course.

Well I haven't heard from Daniel since he left the states. I am sure he is alright, but I would love to hear from him. Hopefully he is taking lots of pictures. The school he is going to overlooks the ocean and is in a nice part of town (He is in Lima) so I'm sure he is enjoying himself. Plus the weather is supposed to be in the 70's the whole time he is there. Meanwhile in Texas it's 85-95 everyday with nearly 100% humidity!! BLAH!!

Well I have oodles of things to get done before I leave friday so I had better get to work! Oh and if you haven't watched that video I linked to in an earlier blog yet, do it! It's awesome!

Gone for Peru

Daniel left for Peru yesterday. This picture is of us right before we left for the airport. It was really sad and I miss him alot already. Hopefully I will hear from him tonight. We bought a second digital camera so he could take pictures on the trip. The one I always use is very big (as far as digital cameras go) and it is 2.1 megapixels. Good enough, but he wanted to take a small one on the trip so we totally spurged with our "china tax refund". Anyhoo it was 160 dollars with 2 cards, so I guess that's not so bad, we just aren't used to spending money so randomly, and on technological things for that matter. But it was worth it-- he can take 1200 pictures if he wants to!

Here is a picture of my pregnant belly. People at church have started touching it, which I don't mind-- actually I think it's fun. I'm a really touchy-hugy sort of person anyway. I will be 14 weeks on tuesday. Thursday is my next midwife appt. and i should be able to have an ultrasound!!
Friday I will fly to Kentucky and visit Daniel's family. I will be there for about two weeks and then go up to Ohio to visit my family. Fortunately my trip will be nice and long and then I will get back to our house 2 days before Daniel does. So that will be good. Anyway, I don't really have much to write, I am just lonely! I should probably call a friend and get out of the house!!!
