Grandpa and his guitar

Yesterday Dad and I decided to make chicken tortilla soup for dinner, so we went to the grocery store.  Dad had gotten a bag of nuts from the bulk bins but forgot to get the plu number, so he had to run back to get it.  I thought, "oh the poor lady behind us in line, she's gonna have to wait and she has a bunch of kids.  Hmm..... she looks kind of like Jessy, my blogger friend who I have never met....  Is that her?  I think it's her!  Those look like her kids!"  So I said "Hi, Jessy??"  and it WAS her!!  (It was so fun to see you Jessy!)  How random that we met at the grocery store! :) What a great story!  Who knew that there are real people behind all these blogs ;)  Oh, and the soup was delicious!!

That's so funny! Seriously, what are the odds in a town this big!! Thanks for saying hi. Tell your Dad no worries about the nuts. Oh, and pass along that recipe. That sounds so yummy right now. I bought 4 lbs of strawberries there and the kids at 2 lbs on the way home. They were SO good!

Keep these videos coming!!!! I love the way Ezekiel watches his Grandpa's fret hand move on the neck of the guitar. Ezie, you certainly are an alert and watchful little guy. I miss you so much!

Hey, you make soap right? Have you made lavender scented soap? I need details about how you do it. Thanks lady. Hope you are having a good weekend and happy Valentine's day!

Jessy- yup, we make soap and it's the best soap ever (if I can say that!). The way I would make lavender scented soap is to make a batch of regular soap and add lavender essential oil (and maybe some dried lavender to make it look pretty?). We haven't done lavender before though. If you wanna come over sometime we can make a batch- it's too complicated to just try and explain online. let me know what you think! :)

Yes! I would love to make soap with you!!! It will probably have to be the middle-ish of March though, with Greg's schedule. I'd like to do it on a day when he can watch the wild and crazy munchkins!! So...let me know what I need to get and we'll set a date. Yay!

I'm SO sad I missed seeing Zeke on Tuesday. The NICU is too full of bad and worse that need managing. I'm glad you all are home enjoying the good. I love to see your pictures as he grows. He really reminds me of Daniel.

Greg- Zeke was sad to not see you, too! But we know you're very busy in there. You have a super important job!! Thanks for working hard!! And yes, we are really really enjoying the good :)

Jessy- Did you get my message about the soap? :)
